Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of TuneLocator ("the Service", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
The Service is a personal music-practice tool: a searchable index of song titles and page numbers, plus private storage that lets you upload your own PDF files and view them back on your own devices. The Service does not include, sell, or distribute any sheet music or books.
2. Your content and copyright
- You retain all rights to the files you upload. You grant us only the limited technical permission needed to store your files and display them back to you.
- You are solely responsible for your uploaded content and represent that your use of it (including uploading it to the Service) complies with applicable copyright law.
- Your files are private to your account. The Service provides no mechanism to share, publish, or transfer uploaded files to other users, and you agree not to attempt to use it as one.
- Copyright complaints (DMCA). We respond to legitimate copyright complaints. If you believe content stored via the Service infringes your rights, send a notice to ias@statsias.com identifying the copyrighted work and the material at issue, with your contact information and a good-faith statement; we may remove content and/or suspend accounts in response to valid notices.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
- We may ask you to verify your email address. You can request a new verification email at any time from the in-app banner or Settings.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- The free plan and paid plans (with their storage limits and monthly prices) are described on the in-app Plans page.
- Each plan allows a fixed number of hosted books (currently Free 1, Standard 3, Pro 7). This limit is enforced by the Service, and uploads beyond your plan's limit may be automatically removed.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid plans bill monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime via Manage subscription; changes take effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial billing periods.
- If a subscription lapses, your stored files over the free plan's limit may become inaccessible and, after 90 days, may be deleted. We'll always let you re-download or delete your own files before that happens.
- We may change plan prices or limits with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you do not have the right to possess or store;
- attempt to access another user's files or data;
- probe, disable, or circumvent the Service's security or plan limits;
- use the Service to distribute material to others, host malware, or break any applicable law;
- resell or provide the Service to third parties.
6. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your content at any time. You can also permanently delete your entire account and all associated data yourself from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (including copyright abuse) or create risk for us or other users. Upon termination we will delete your stored files within a reasonable period.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that stored data will never be lost — keep your own original copies of anything you upload.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $10 if you paid nothing).
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above, and continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
